In ancient Israel, where women are property, It's not easy being a women, least of all princess of Israel. Michal, daughter of Saul and David a poor shepherd boy and harpist. They met as nearly teenagers she was 14 when they met and had there first encounters. David had won her hand in marraige by battling the Philistines and killing Goliath. The times of trouble start as jealous king Saul seeks to put David to his death. The newlyweds separated when Michal helps David escape her fathers wrath. Knowing she herself could be put to death by such act. Fear, exile, circumstances, and politics unrest to the separation of them, Also separated by war, concubines.Which then David took other wives and Michal had to fight to keep her faith that David had not forgotten her. From this point on it takes us through the painstaking quest with Michal, to find her beloved David. To much later reunion, when David becomes king and follows through with an earlier promise to send for Michal to live at his kingdom. Through the times of yearning to be with the one you love, Michals trails are just beginning. A reunion with additional wives and a harem only makes her heart turn into bitterness, jealousy, and the need for his attention and love. The love for king David never ceases but when she feels she is no longer the one and only, set aside, competing with not one but many others, her desires and weakness of flesh, bring her to do things unspeakable in her era B.C.E. The course of their lives, marraige, and relationship appears to be complicated at best. Michal embarks on a journey of adventure and heartache where she is befriended by a goddess worshipping priestess and tempted by a philistine prince, From reading scrolls high atop a palace walls to seduction of his henna painted body Michael isn't your ordinary bible heroine.Michal his queen, first wife and love of his life but other times has offended her husband husband and or god and is banished from his harem. I didn't understand what or how she'd  done to upset everyone, given the fact the way David often appeared to cut her out. Michal was married as a prize, abandoned as a wife, Michal fights to claim her spot next to king David the man she loves with all her heart. Join Michals window and let her delight you with deviation, courage and outrageous passion in her relentless drive to win her husband back.

Has a very strong message.
Very strong for her time michals story resonates with women today.
When she craved for David I hoped he'd come back, when she saw how power and time changed him, it was really sad.

Very interesting, colorful, and worthy of reading
